Mansfield scrapbook store will celebrate grand openingPosted: 7/12/2008 MANSFIELD -- The Scrapbooking Cafe will have its grand opening July 26. The new addition to Shoppes at Sterkel Park on Lexington Avenue offers a large selection of scrapbooking and stamping supplies.Advertisement The Scrapbooking Cafe has been in the making for several months. Store owners Debbi Broderick and Jennifer Baker wanted to create a helpful, enjoyable, local scrapbook store for women and men. Both women are avid scrapbookers and consider this a way for them to help others preserve family heritage while enjoying a love of crafting. The Scrapbooking Cafe will host classes; Holly VanDyne and Alicia Giess are among the teachers. The women have been honored in top industry magazines such as Creating Keepsakes and Scrapbooks Etc. The store is the fifth retail establishment to open at the Shoppes at Sterkel Park. According to Sterkel Park’s managing member, Jeffrey M. Morris, "We are continuing to see a diverse mix of new merchants that complement each other and create an upscale neighborhood shopping environment unlike anything else in Mansfield. "We are now finalizing a lease for one more exciting establishment, which should be concluded in July and will leave one space of 1,600 square feet left to fill in order to reach 100 percent leasing," Morris said. Groundbreaking for The Shoppes at Sterkel Park was June 14, 2007. The grand opening will begin at 9 a.m. July 26. The store’s business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and closed Sunday. |
